Arrive: Tuesday, June 20th, Anchorage

 

Activities: Recovering from flight, swimming, relaxing

June 2023 Schedule

Wednesday, June 21st, Anchorage to Seward

 

Activities: Drive to Seward and visit Wildlife Conservation Center in Girdwood on the way. Arrive at Seward Beachhouse and check in.

Explore Beachhouse landscape and stroll down to the beach for sea stars and sea shells. Hike Kings Head trial on Lowell Point.

 

Breakfast: Free meal served at hotel; cereals, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, juice, coffee, tea

 

Lunch: Ham and turkey sandwiches, chips, fruit, drinks

 

Dinner: Chinook’s

 

2 Hours English Conversation Lessons

Thursday, June 22nd, Seward

Activities: Best of Alaska Tour (4 hours sea kayaking, 4 hours fishing, 4 hours nature viewing)

 

Enjoy a 4-hour paddle in Aialik Bay or Northwestern Fjord at one of the amazing tidewater glaciers, and 4 hours of sport fishing on the way home for salmon and rockfish. Lunch provided.

 

Breakfast: Cereal, oatmeal, fruit, pastries, juice, coffee, tea

Dinner: All American bacon cheeseburgers with all the fixings, fries, and Cokes.

Friday, June 23rd, Seward

Activities: 3.2-mile round trip hike to Exit Glacier with 1400-foot elevation gain. Will include small mountain climbing. Described as an incredibly beautiful hike with the full taste of Alaskan natural beauty.

 

Be sure to bring your camera!

 

Breakfast: Mountain Man breakfast: Skillet meal cooked in a frying pan, with bacon & sausage, onion, hash browns, eggs, and grated cheddar cheese, coffee, tea, juice

 

Lunch: Portable chicken-roast beef-pork sandwiches, veggies with ranch, fruit, granola bars, water

 

Dinner: BBQ with new friends at Seward Teen Center

 

2 Hours English Conversation Lessons

Saturday, June 24th, Seward

Activities: 6-hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise. Get on board the catamaran with a real Park Ranger and enjoy an up-close experience with an active calving glacier. Also see whales, sea otters, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, puffins, eagles, and seabirds. Enjoy prime rib or salmon for lunch. Alaska at its best!

Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, hash browns, coffee, tea, juice

 

Dinner: Seward Brewing Company

​2 Hours English Conversation Lessons

Sunday, June 25th & Monday, June 26th, Cooper Landing-Quartz Creek Campground

Activities: Leave Seward & Miller’s Landing and drive to Cooper Landing. Set up camp at Quartz Creek campground between Kenai Lake and Quartz Creek. Enjoy rock skipping on smooth lake water, learning how to build a campfire, learning how to build a lean-to, and overall enjoying one of the most beautiful places on earth. Group will participate in scavenger hunts, group games, and exercises. Water sports and possible fishing will be available.

 

Breakfast: Pancakes, eggs, and bacon cooked over the fire. Coffee, tea, juice, and water

Lunch: Assorted sandwiches and noodles, fruit, chips, and drinks

 

Dinner: Killer Bucket of Meat and Beans: Sautéed hamburger, bacon, and onions slow-cooked with kidney, black, garbanzo, and baked beans. BBQ sauce, ketchup, molasses, and mustard are added for an amazing taste. Served with green salad and drinks.

Tuesday, June 27th

4 Hours English Conversation Lessons

Activities: Drive to Anchorage. Check-in at the hotel. See fish swimming at Ship Creek, and take a walk on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.

 

Accommodations: University Lake Springhill Suites (Aug. 10, 11, 12)

 

Breakfast: cereals, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice, at the hotel.

 

Lunch: All-American classic hamburger at McDonald’s!

Dinner: One of the country’s best pizzas at Moose’s Tooth Pub and Pizzeria.

Wednesday, June 28th

 

Activities: Visit Alaska Native Heritage Center, Kinkaid Park, and Anchorage Museum. Visit the University of Alaska Anchorage and/or Alaska Pacific University.

 

Breakfast: Cereals, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice at the hotel

 

Lunch: Lucky Wishbone

 

Dinner: Graduation Ceremony and Closing Events at Simon and Seafort’s
